Emerging roles for the intestinal microbiome in Epilepsy

Gut microbiomes have become a hugely popular and emerging topic within Epilepsy and other neurological disorders. This article reviews and explores the role the gut microbiome may play in epilepsy. Additionally, this article touches upon the effects antibiotic treatment can have on people’s gut bacteria and how this may impact those living with epilepsy and recurrent seizures.
